Capturing the Perfect Image

Pictures are special to us. We take family photos, pictures of places we travel, things we eat, and we snap them to capture moments forever. When I was younger I always seemed to be using my moms phone to take pictures of places we visited. When we go on vacations I was the one who was always carrying the family camera.

My mom knew I loved taking pictures. She had a friend who takes pictures professionally and runs her own photography business, Signature Lime Photography. Lauren had a class, Fancy Camera 101, that I took and it taught me how to properly use a "Fancy Camera." This turned out to be such a great idea, it taught me how to use all the different modes on a camera. It took a little bit of practice but I soon was able to figure out how to use a camera for the most part...

After taking the class I really got into taking pictures my birthday was coming up and my parents had the perfect idea of what to get me... my very own camera! This was perfect, now my phone wont run out of storage every week or two with the many many pictures I take. I soon was learning how to take pictures on this new camera it was very different from the old camera I took the class with. My new Nikon had a great addition... it could connect to the Bluetooth on my phone and easily transfer pictures off my camera and straight to my phone!

Junior year I decided to take Digital Photography 1, it turned out to be amazing, it quickly turned out to be my favorite class. This was a great opportunity to learn my the different tricks to my camera. Every two weeks or so we got a new assignment of what we needed to so shoot for the next class assignment. This challenged me to take pictures other then what I would normally take, and step out of my comfort zone and become creative.

I started take my camera everywhere and soon had thousands of pictures on it, time to get another SD card. I think i started to have a slight addiction to taking pictures. With the many pictures I have taken, I had learned that I couldn't zoom very close to anything with the lens I had. I decided that I wanted to get a new lens, a huge one that I could stand in one spot and still zoom in far enough that looks like I am standing right next to the subject. So you know what that means time to save up babysitting money for a new lens. That is just what I did, I saved and saved, and soon found a great deal on a massive lens.

With a new lens I started taking lots of amazing pictures, I have taken a few of friends and I even had gotten a wedding gig, with much thanks to Mrs. Hale. I had always wanted to take professional pictures and start a business one day. Why not start one now, so that is exactly what I did, I started up, CSaul Photography. Who says a sixteen year old can't start up their own business. I took pictures of the wedding in the summer, I have had a few senior pictures and a few other random gigs. I have loved and enjoyed taking all of the pictures that I have taken so far.

If you have a dream or an idea to do something, but you think you are not old enough.i who says you cant do it now, just put your mind to it and do it.
